Real Wages Fail to Match a Rise in Productivity – New York Times
wages and salaries now make up the lowest share of the nation’s gross domestic product since the government began recording the data in 1947, while corporate profits have climbed to their highest share since the 1960’s

  1. Clearly you hate America. Why?

Criticizing the economy because of data means you are clearly a member of the reality based community – a well known American hatin’ group.

I’ll also quote Steven Colbert – ‘facts have a well known liberal bias’.

If you don’t follow –>liberals hate America –> which means any one that uses facts over ‘gut feeling’ (or the right wing marching orders), clearly is also an America hater.

Do you really trust data that was being collected starting way back in 1947 over the fact that Bush told you just last week the economy is doing great?

New York Times!? – Need I say more?

You implied criticism of a ‘war-time’ president makes you a traitor. Traitors are the worst kind of America haters.

    I rest my case.

  2. Ha! Now that we’re done with our Two Minutes Hate…

I am no economist, but I’m frustrated by hearing that ‘the economy” is doing well, but it’s not doing well for everyone. I have suspected that there’s a shift going on- a shift of wealth from the middle-class to the upper-class. So even though the economy might, on the whole, be showing nice growth numbers, etc., things may still be bad and getting worse for working people.

Have you ever heard a glowing financial report that included the celebratory news, “labor costs were kept down”? That means you didn’t get a raise. Hooray!
