Twilight Princess

November 15, 2006

This is the first game that I have ever awarded a 10 in my six years as a reviewer, and for good reason. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is one of the defining videogames of our time. It is unquestionably one of the finest games ever released,

I wish you luck if you purchase this game and you have a job, a family, and some form of responsibility over the next week or so following your purchase. Do the responsible thing: quit your job, put your family on hold, and throw out all your responsibilities so that you can experience the next magnificent chapter in The Legend of Zelda universe.

These gems are from a Gamerz Edge review of the brand new game The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. I, like millions of gamers worldwide, already know the Zelda franchise games as some of the best video games ever produced (in fact I maintain that Ocarina of Time is the best video game in the history of video games), but this new iteration appears to be setting a new high.

Of course I have it pre-ordered and have had for some time now, along with the new Nintendo hardware, the bewilderingly named “Wii” – which also is turning heads for its innovative controller and its appeal to first-time, casual gamers.

Rest assured, I will be mentioning this diversion again after it arrives at casa de Feldstein.

  1. Here is a fun fact – The Legond of Zelda games were named after Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald, who was the wife of F. Scott Fitzgerald.

  2. Yeah, heard that once! for more information on the Zelda series, see this article at wikipedia.
