Break-A-Thon Physics: Donations = Wow

February 10, 2007

Whoa. You know how I’m raising money for the annual J. K. Lee Black Belt Academy Board Break-A-Thon to fund research on childhood cancer? Take a look over there on the right. That “donate” button has been up for only one week and you’ve already given $150! Thank you!

At this rate I may reach my personal fund raising goal of $250. You know what happens if that occurs, right? Let me put it to you this way. Like all other performances of physical skill, The J. K. Lee Board Break-A-Thon obeys all the laws of physics: inertia, velocity, mass, and most of all: the fact that for every action there must be an equal and opposite reaction. Therefore we martial artists are required – by law – to break things in direct proportion to the amount of money you donate.

It’s true. You donate a little, we break a few things. You donate a lot… and we execute our best, most gasp-worthy, multiple-board techniques. And if you help me reach my personal fundraising goal of $250 before February 24, I will break a 1 1/2-inch thick concrete paving brick like the ones pictured here.

If you have already donated, thank you so much. If you haven’t donated yet, please do! It’s easy: just click the “Make a donation” button over there on the right. You can use Paypal or your credit card. And if you’d rather send me a personal check, that’s cool too. Just make it out to either Scott Feldstein or JK Lee Black Belt Academy and send it to Scott Feldstein, 909 Chicago Ave #1, Waukesha, WI 53188. Every dime you give goes directly to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin for research into childhood cancer. For more details call the J. K. Lee Black Belt Academy at (262) 547-KICK (5425).

Thank you very much for your generosity.
